Role Overview
As a Software Quality Analyst, you’ll be responsible for creating, reviewing, and executing software testing specifications. This role involves collaborating with our development team, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software quality processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Release Management: Playing a pivotal role in the release management process to ensure seamless software deployment.
- Software Build Processes: Contributing to and optimizing software build processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analysis, Design, and Documentation: Engaging in critical analysis, design, and documentation of software components.
- User Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Working closely with users to gather and document requirements for software testing.
- User Acceptance Testing: Leading and participating in user acceptance testing to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.
- Agile Development Methodology/Scrum Management: Applying agile development methodology and utilizing Scrum management techniques for enhanced productivity.
- Database Querying and Maintenance: Demonstrating expertise in database querying and maintenance to support testing processes.
- Test and Development Environment Maintenance: Taking ownership of creating and maintaining robust testing and development environments.
- Web Technologies: Engaging with various web technologies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Requirements
- Experience in Testing Complex Software Systems: Proven experience in testing complex software systems to ensure superior quality.
- SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL skills to manage and query databases effectively.
- OS, VM, and Software Skills: Strong understanding and practical skills in operating systems, virtual machines, and software applications.
- Testing Environment Management: Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining effective testing environments.
- Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication skills, paired with strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
- Agile and Scrum Knowledge: A thorough understanding of agile development methodology and the role of a QA in Scrum.
- Personal Attributes: Good attention to detail, openness to giving and receiving critique, a passion for finding the best solutions, and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
